"I’m in love with the thought of you.
And the fact that you and me, can’t be
— is the safest idea of falling in love the world could ever know.
It’s overboard romantic, it reached a comical note.
I share laughs with my close friends and my mother about it.
And oh! Please don’t be surprised
— you’re in our conversations a lot, too.
"They indulge my fantasies, as I casually call out your name like we’re…
Close. (laughs)
I show ‘our' pictures together.
Gosh! I praise God for the dear friend who casually stole a few shots of you and me.
And the other friend for taking 'our' picture in one of the sites we went to.
Those have been awesome PROPS to the entire play.
They just made it all a little bit real.
"Real.
Yes, my affection for you is.
*No expectations. Just a wholesome inspiration brought about by
— your mere existence.
It’s beautiful as it is.
A good round of joke for some. Trust me though
— I relish and treasure every moment of it.”
Prose Background:
I was acquainted with a business executive in one of my trips abroad. I couldn’t really say that we became friends, but we had a few conversation. As I got to know him a little bit more, I was amazed with his humility upon knowing his credentials. It painted a man of great character. And that started the road of my growing admiration for this man.
He’s only a few years older than me, but I feel that in terms of passion for his career, achievement, and personal disciplines — he became a benchmark.
I admired him a lot, in business. But that evolved into a humorous allusion to romance within my closest friends and family, because it somehow motivated me to start keeping up with his personal disciplines. And since he became “the” benchmark, the romantic allegory allowed me to focus on improving my own personal disciplines rather than get distracted with fleeting romantic thoughts with anyone else. It somehow made me feel “safe”. *laughs*
I praise God for this man. I pray that God will bless the work of his hands, guide him and grant him wisdom in his daily dealings. I pray for traveling mercies as well, since he seems to be on the road a lot lately. Just bless his good heart, Lord. (In Jesus name. Amen.) :-)
