Rances: Diamond Director Article

Diamonds are formed in an environment that is high pressure with a temperature reaching to about 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. That is no easy process – but the result is worth it.
                  
Coaches Rob and Celina’s Diamond Directorship opened a whole door of possibilities. Their run sealed the deal of MY diamond directorship – and that made it personally monumental.

I knew them only from the pictures in the presentation slides in 2012. They were Gold Directors, and I was just starting out. For a new associate, when getting the Gold was as unreachable as the stars – their result and influence gave so much vision that it was the only thing we held on to when we started out in Cebu.

I met Coach Rob for the first time in an event we had in Cebu. He was sick, but you could not tell that with how he trained us for the next two days. I got to know them more as I attended more of Coach Rob’s workshops.

Watching them from afar – as our coaches and as parents to their two lovely boys – made me aspire more to be like them. Their lives showed that being with USANA is not exclusive to work alone – it is holistic with God being the center of it all.

I have witnessed Coach Rob inspire a crowd of thousands, and I have seen him decorate his sons’ room together with the kids. I have seen Coach Celina gracefully close sales you could not say “no” to, and I have seen her organize her son’s birthday party to the detail. Above all the rank, the recognition, and the glamour – they have shown that success both as parents and entrepreneurs IS possible.

“We appreciate the quality of life USANA has given us.  It has allowed us to travel often, be hands-on parents and most importantly, make a difference in the lives of people. 
It has always been challenging to strike that balance between the home and the business but we welcome that challenge because we believe that no amount of success in the workplace can compensate for failure in the home,”
Coach Celina shared.

Their decision to hit Ruby, Emerald and Diamond became the markers that served as bus stops for us who are also taking the same route. I praise God everyday for those bus stops – it gave us a clear direction as to where we are heading.

The Lord has funny way of putting things in perspective. Their journey from Gold to Diamond mirrors the time of my journey from Business Center to Gold. Diamond Directorship used to be just a farfetched thought. Then out of nowhere – the Lord gave a living barometer.

That thought blows my mind every time, and my excitement grows even more whenever I talk to someone who just started out in USANA.


As what I said, Coaches Rob and Celina’s Diamond Directorship sealed the deal of MY Diamond Directorship and the rest who are just starting out.

Totally NOTHING

The LORD has allowed me to enjoy an overflowing amount of comfort, joy and even luxury. But by His faithfulness and grace, He is also polishing and refining my heart from pride and attachment to money, fame and self-righteousness. Truly, I AM NOTHING WITHOUT CHRIST. But upon close checking my own heart and self -- I realized how selfish and prideful I am. How corrupt my own heart is. How deceitful. Martha, stop!

Looking at the calendar agitates me more and more. It's almost Christmas and I'm so not on schedule. I'm waiting for "the" document from our HMO and the whole thing is driving me crazy. I'm due for a procedure to remove a melon-size lump, if you can even call that size a lump still, in my right ovary.  And I so want this over with. I so want this done before the year ends.
